I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the big cities that have been used to getting snow all year end up mixing with and/or changing to rain for a period of time during this storm. We have powerful arctic high that is going to be sliding to the east as the storm approaches and may allow for a strong enough onshore flow to bring some of that warmer Atlantic air into coastal areas. I have cut back on amounts there to compensate – further reductions to amounts may be possible if storm jogs west, big snows hit the cities if the track slides further east. More to come.
