Summary: Zonal upper level flow and a surface high to our south will advect milder and more humid air into the region during the next 24-36 hours.
A deepening shortwave over the high plains will help to make that flow more unidirectional with height out of the southwest by causing a weak upper level ridge to develop downstream over eastern New England. Breezy conditions are expected today and tomorrow due to a pressure gradient with that surface high and an area of low pressure approaching Ontario, then a weak surface cold front approaches the area Monday night associated with a low further to the north in Canada. Enhanced cloud cover and light precipitation is possible late Monday and into Tuesday.
