Winter Weather Continues to affect the area until after midnight tonight as a strengthening area of low pressure intensifies to our south and east. A norlun trough event (an inverted trough protruding from the actual low to the north and west) will significantly enhance snowfall across far eastern New England. Currently watching a second batch of heavier snowfall make it’s way through Philadelphia right now. This should track and affect a good portion of southern and eastern Connecticut this evening. As a result – It’s appropriate to bump accumulation forecasts up slightly, especially across eastern zones.
