December warmth will be a trend in our forecast as the background pattern continues to project above normal temperatures.
Discussion: A shortwave trough is exiting eastern new England today, behind which some ridging will start to build in. A developing surface low to our south is set to track well offshore to our south and east. High pressure will be in control in the northeast for much of the rest of the week. A warm front is expected to come through early Thursday morning which looks to be the beginning of a warm temperature pattern heading into the weekend.
