Discussion: High pressure is building into the region from the west. A weak shortwave and associated cold front approach the area tonight despite which the weather should remain dry. In the upper levels, ridging continues to build into the area, and should remain that way through the weekend.
Early next week bifurcated upper level flow develops around a couple of weak cutoff lows, moving across the central us. An area of low pressure develops off the southeast coast in association with the eastern one. The current thinking is that this low will be weaker and will remain far enough offshore to spare us impacts. Enjoy your weekend!
