April 2016 Precipitation Summary

I just added a CoCoRahs Observing station at my home in Westbrook, CT this year – so look for monthly precipitation reports that track the results against our averages and learn a lot more about the local climate.

It was a front loaded precipitation month with more than half of the month’s rainfall occurring before the 6th. The middle of the month saw an extended 9 day dry period, and some lighter rain returned for the period in may.

We also saw a bit of snow and ice with Westbrook, CT reporting 0.6″ of accumulation during events on the 3rd and 4th of this month along with a glaze of freezing rain.
