No immediate Rainfall Deficit Relief

A mix of sun and clouds today. Seasonable, with highs in the 70’s. Sunny skies then dominate going into the weekend with temperatures returning to at or slightly above normal levels.

Discussion: A warm front associated with a low pressure system in the Ohio valley is currently draped across the mid-atlantic region. The weak frontal low will gradually migrate east as an upper level short wave trough swings down through the region today. PVA from the trough may initiate enough vertical motion for some cloudiness and an isolated shower this afternoon. A large complex of thunderstorms passes south of us through the mid atlantic region. After today, high pressure builds in. The next shot at unsettled weather would be with the approach of a cold front Monday night and Tuesday.
