Brilliant sunshine remains in place from Today through early next week. Some enhanced cloudiness as well as the risk for a shower or thunderstorm exists late Tuesday-Wednesday and then again on Friday.
Discussion: High pressure is in control across the northeastern states. Upper level ridging gradually builds in through the weekend. A slow moving cold front approaches and stalls near or just offshore mid week while an upper level trough approaches the region on Wednesday. High pressure moves in for Thursday and then another trough and weak surface low/associated front approaches on Friday.
