Unsettled Weather Midweek, 4th of July Weekend Uncertanties

A round of showers and thunderstorms is likely Tuesday evening. The possibility for scattered storms exists during a window from midday Tuesday through the early afternoon on Wednesday. Sunshine and high pressure returns to end off the work week, while another complicated frontal system approaches for the weekend. Right now maintaining the chance for showers and storms Friday night into Saturday with a return to sunny weather by the second half of the weekend. The 7 day graphic gives a 4th of July sneak peak. Discussion: High pressure continues to depart to the east, while a slow moving cold front approaches from the west tonight and tomorrow. An upper level shortwave trough approaches the region late Tuesday into early Wednesday. Expecting a chance of showers and thunderstorms anytime from Tuesday through Wednesday afternoon. High pressure returns for Thursday and Friday. Another Shortwave trough and frontal system approaches on Saturday.
