Discussion: a cold front sits well offshore, while another is traversing the great lakes. In between, high pressure is in control. That high will gradually give way this evening as the latter front approaches the area during the day tomorrow.
Tonight: Scattered Clouds. Dew points rising with a southerly flow out ahead of the approaching front. Mild with a low near 64. Southerly Wind 5-10mph
Tomorrow: Partly sunny with late afternoon early evening Thunderstorms out ahead of a cold front passage. Some could be strong with gusty winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning. High near 80ºF.
The best chance for Severe weather is in Central and Western Connecticut. The timing for the storms crossing the state is between 5 and 10 PM. Expect some fireworks display plans to be disrupted. The good news, however – this is the only bad day forecast for the entire weekend.
Saturday: Humidity drops with temperatures hanging around 75-80ºF
Sunday: Abundant sunshine with highs in the low 80’s
The 4th: Sunny, pleasant, highs in the low 80’s.
