June was one of the driest months for the Westbrook area in recent history. Based on historical data reconstructed using the PRISM portal, only 2 years since 1980 have had a drier June – 2004 where 1.18″ fell and 1999 where a measly 0.43″ fell. In fact, for Westbrook, this month’s dryness has only been exceeded by 4 Junes since 1900!

Notable event: June 21, 2016 Early Morning Thunderstorm Dropped the day’s 0.41″ of rain in less an one hour. It also produced an extraordinary lightning show. This storm developed out ahead of an approaching cold front that came through later that day.
