Discussion: High pressure will continue to build in today ushering in a much less humid airmass from now through the middle of the week. With a 500mb ridge anchored over the central USA, we’ll have to keep an eye on shortwave energy moving around its periphery into New England the first of which approaches on Friday. Expect scattered thunderstorms to develop, with continued warm and humid weather for the weekend.
Surface high pressure departs to our east on Thursday introducing a southwesterly flow. Heat and humidity will rebound Thursday night into Friday. Shortwave energy approaching late Friday and a low moving by just north of New England will eventually bringing a cold front through this weekend.
Today: Sunny, warm but not humid. High near 80.
Tonight: Mostly clear and cool. Low near 58.
Tomorrow. Sunny and warm. High near 80.
Thursday: Sunny and becoming warmer. High near 85.
Friday: Mix of sun and clouds with scattered afternoon thunderstorms developing. Some of these could be heavy. High near 87.
Saturday: Mostly sunny and humid. Highs 85-90.
Sunday: Sunny and warm. Highs 85-90.
Monday: Partial sunshine with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Highs 85-90.
