July 2016 Precipitation Summary

A month that was characterized by a markedly dry stretch during a period from July 5 to 25th only 0.20″ of rainfall was measured. A couple larger events, a 0.88″ rainfall on July 5th and a 1.01″ rainfall event on July 29th helped lessen this month’s deficit.

The drought did have some dents put into it during the last 5 days of the month. This analysis from COCORAHS shows some sizable rainfall accumulations across the middle of the state during the last 5 days of the month. (note the 5″ total near Berlin, CT!)
