Discussion: A cold front is transiting the region today, behind which weak high pressure is building in from the west. A shortwave trough pivots along the base of a northern stream upper level low and through the region late tonight into early Wednesday. Another H5 shortwave and associated surface low arrives late Thursday. High pressure returns Friday and lasts through the weekend.
