Cooler and drier air will continue to filter in behind a departing cold front. Weak high pressure slides to the east tonight behind which an approaching mid level disturbance arrives. As this passes through overnight and into early tomorrow cloud coverage will increase but we should be spared of any rain. Broad high pressure builds in tomorrow on into the weekend with mostly sunny weather and highs in the 80’s. Rain and thunder chances return Monday as a potent cold front approaches but sunny, cool and crisp weather should follow for Tuesday.
Discussion: A weak midlevel disturbance sweeps through the region tonight. Heights build again late this week as we fall under the influence of a broader ridge of high pressure.. Another disturbance approaches early next week.
Surface: High pressure builds tomorrow. A potent frontal system arrives Monday bringing with it more unsettled weather followed by an influx of cooler temperatures.
